Various studies on phenomenological optics, in particular in the area of atmospheric colours and Goethe's colour theory. The presentation of in the classroom of dispersion, scattering and diffraction phenomena. Study of the effects of electromagnetic waves and electrosmog. Work on radioactivity and radiation as well as on the technology and 'sub-nature'. Currently a special interest in quantum physics and carrying out a project entitled 'Understanding Quantum Physics' which investigates how it can be presented in schools.

Section Leadership and Institute Directorship responsibilities, courses for 'Studying at the Goetheanum' and 'English Studies', supervision of student projects, and contribution to editorial work for the journal 'Elemente der Naturwissenschaft'.

Born in Hamburg in 1953. After attending Waldorf School and completing national service in agriculture studied physics, mathematics and chemistry in Hamburg and Göttingen. Dissertation at the Max Planck Institute for Flow Research with Ernst-August Müller. Subsequently engaged in scientific work at the Natural Science Section at the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland. From 1982 to 1996 secondary school teacher at Uhlandshöhe Waldorf School in Stuttgart. From 1982 member of the collegium of the Natural Science Section at the Goetheanum, and Leader of this section since 1996. Work on flow physics, mechanics of human locomotion, Goethean optics and colour theory as well as physics education.
